In New Orleans, you as an intern will be involved with leading or managing the short-term mission groups that will be coming in to do many of the following...
-Renovation of homes that were damaged by Katrina and other hurricanes and weather events
-Renovation of office buildings
-Maintaining the long-running Capstone Community Gardens
-Organizing and participating in summer programs for neighborhood children
-Serving the homeless in New Orleans
-Maintaining community parks in St. Bernard Parish
-Renovating the Perrin House, which provides lodging for individuals beginning or currently serving in New Orleans
-Constructing a new youth room for The Gathering, a community center in Arabi
-Assisting inner-city outreaches, as well as new church plants

Prerequisites
- There is an application process that includes but not limited to: application, references, background check.
Preparation
- We will provide training throughout the internship. There will be an orientation, onsite training in Appalachia, as well as a debriefing. We will also help you in support raising for this role.
